Help association members stay abreast of emerging technologies that may impact the industry, including related opportunities and challenges. Examples include but are not limited to the internet of things (IoT), electrification, electric vehicles / related infrastructure, and artificial intelligence.
Consider and act upon any membership applications that come before the committee due to disapproval or inaction by a chapter or regional director, per Governing Policy 10.
Advises the Board of Directors and staff and provides recommendations regarding all aspects of the Association's activities relating to Associate Members.
Conduct a comprehensive study of the financial affairs of the Association including a meeting with the Association's auditors. The Committee shall present reports to the Board and any recommendations for the Board's approval.
Monitor, review and make appropriate recommendations to the full Board of Directors concerning budgets; review and draft proposed changes to the Association's bylaws and governing policies as required; annually develop and provide to the Board of Directors a three-year strategic plan designed to carry out the mission of the Association; when necessary, act for and on behalf of the full Board of Directors between full Board meetings.
Assist in the development, review and maintenance of programs to provide the membership with opportunities to enhance their management knowledge, techniques and skills. Provide input to the Executive Committee and staff regarding the management education activity of the Association.
Assist in the development and review of programs to provide the membership with opportunities to enhance their marketing knowledge, as well as sales techniques and skills. Provide input to the Executive Committee and staff regarding the marketing and sales training and education activity of the Association. Oversee the Association's industry awareness efforts and help administer EASA representation before other publics.
Work with staff and chapters to plan, develop and maintain an aggressive worldwide membership development and retention campaign; review membership issues and make recommendations to the Board of Directors.
Annually nominate a slate of officers and Executive Committee candidates in accordance with EASA Bylaws; annually consider nominees for the Exceptional Achievement and Service Award.
Conduct the yearly review of the President and CEO including compensation consideration. This committee may also be used by the President and CEO for advice on Headquarters operations.
Assist in the development and review of programs to provide the membership with training and education opportunities to enhance their technical knowledge, techniques and skills. Provide input to the Executive Committee and staff regarding the technical training and education activity of the Association.
Provide the membership with technical resources, materials and information necessary to ensure their growth in a time of rapid technological change. Enhance EASA's technological image in the marketplace/industry.
Mediate written complaints of one member against another regarding alleged violations of EASA's Code of Business Practice in accordance with EASA's member mediation procedures.
To support and advance the role of women within the EASA industry by leading the activities of the Women of EASA group, focusing on practical initiatives such as assisting in planning the group’s annual convention gathering, helping to grow the group, and fostering an environment where women members feel welcomed and valued.
